Wendy W. Watson
BS, CI/CT, Master Mentor, and Director, Southeast Mentorship Project, is a full-time freelance interpreter. A graduate of the Project TIEM Master Mentor Program, Wendy is the co-developer of the Peer Mentoring Model for working interpreters. The Peer Mentoring Program has been provided for the past 5 years in Massachusetts and more recently in New York and Arizona. She has coordinated interpreted performances in Boston, as well as several mentoring projects through the Cultural Access Consortium's Access Collaborative. She provides both group mentoring guidance and individual mentoring. Workshops which Wendy has provided include "Strategies for Effective Team Interaction", "Applying the Demand/Control Schema" and "Peer Mentoring: What's THAT?". Wendy feels very fortunate to have worked and been trained at Northeastern University, and to have had the mentorship of some of the most talented leaders in our field: Dennis Cokely, Cathy Cogen, Marina McIntire, and Laurie Shaffer. Wendy is currently an adjunct faculty member at NU, and a grateful, perpetual mentee!
