Workshop Topic: Interpersonal Dynamics & Teamwork

Sharon M. Mendes has been interpreting for many years in liturgical, educational, theatrical settings, and more recently, at conferences. She is Lead Interpreter and Coordinator of interpreting services at the Boston Arts Academy, Boston's first visual and performing arts high school. She is proud to be among the founding members of the Conference Interpreting Mentorship Project, where she received extensive conference training, developed leadership skills, and enhanced and refined her mentoring skills. As a direct outcome of the program, Sharon co-facilitated the Passport to Mentorship Program at the 2003 New England Regional Mentorship Conference and interpreted at the 2003 National Alliance of Black Interpreters Conference. Currently, she is participating in the Southeast Mentorship Project.
