| Robert G. Lee, CI/CT, is an interpreter in private practice in Boston, Massachusetts as well as a Research Assistant in the American Sign Language Linguistic Research Project at Boston University (www.bu.edu/asllrp). He holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from University. He is co-author of "American Sign Language Syntax: Functional Categories and Hierarchical Structure" published by MIT Press. In addition, he has authored or co-authored numerous articles and book chapters on interpreting and linguistics. Robert has taught in the B.S. program in ASL-English Interpreting at Northeastern University in Boston as well as at the University of Central Lancashire in England. In addition, he has taught online courses for Project TIEM. He has consulted on mentorship with a variety of organizations including the Massachusetts Medical Interpreters Association (MMIA). Robert has served as a member of the RID Professional Standards Committee and Professional Publications Committee as well as the CIT Board and Educational Standards Committee. He currently serves RID on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Interpretation. Robert has presented workshops on a variety of topics all over the U.S. and in Europe.
