Patty Gordon, CI/CT holds a Master of Liberal Studies degree from the University of Minnesota with a focus on using theatre as a vehicle to develop language and cultural competence. Also, Patty has a BA in Linguistics, and certificates in Teaching ASL/Interpreting and Master Mentor Programs from Project TIEM.Online. An interpreter since 1987 and an interpreter educator since 1993, she has taught at The College of St. Catherine, Western Oregon University, and Front Range Community College. Her areas of expertise include mentorship, managing the interpreting process, discourse analysis, and interpreting in education and the performing arts. She is co-author of A Plan for Mentorship of Educational Interpreters in Minnesota and Self-Paced Modules for Educational Interpreter Skill Development.
