| Jim Lipsky (CDI) was among the first graduates of the Northeastern University Interpreter Preparation Program for Deaf Persons in 1996. A Certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI) and State Screened as a Deafblind Interpreter by Massachusetts commission for the Deaf and hard of Hearing, Jim has been a freelance relay interpreter for seven years and a Deafblind community interpreter for eighteen. He also completed the Advancement Seminars, Inc. legal interpreter training program in 1997. He holds the ASLTA qualified Certification and has been an ASL/Deaf studies instructor at Northeastern University and Tufts University since 1992. He is currently vice president of MassRID and former president of the Massachusetts Chapter of ASLTA. | |
