| Jeanne Dillon, CI & CT, has worked as a credentialed interpreter for over 10 years. After working in post-secondary, theatrical, and community settings, she now specializes in medical and K-12 educational interpreting. Her service to the field has included co-chairing the Allies Conference and chairing the MassRID Professional Development Committee, participating in a task force on educational interpreting with representatives from MassRID, Northeastern University, MCDHH, and the Massachusetts Department of Education. She is co-developer and instructor of "Closing the Gap", a five-day skill-building workshop offered through Boston University Center for interpreter Education, and mentors fellow educational interpreters. Jeanne has participated in the Master Mentor program offered by ProjectTIEM.online. She has designed and pilot tested a three-month mentorship program in the fall of 2002 for educational interpreters, working closely with three Deaf mentors who offered consultation on ASL and Deaf culture. She currently works for a public school system and in private practice in the Central Massachusetts area. | |
