Elizabeth A. Winston is an educator and consultant in educational linguistics, discourse analysis, and interpreting. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Georgetown University and a masters in Linguistics with a focus on American Sign Language from Gallaudet University. She is a consultant in educational interpreting as well as an interpreter. Her special areas of interest include ASL discourse analysis, interpreting skills, development, second language acquisition, educational interpreting, and multimedia applications in ASL research and teaching. Dr. Winston teaches and consults on these topics nationally.
