| Craig Andersen has a bachelors degree in Linguistics from Northeastern University and a masters in Social Anthropology from the London School of Economics and Political Science. His master's thesis concerned kinship in the American Deaf Community. He has been a RID certified interpreter in private practice in Seattle, Portland Oregon, New Orleans, and Boston. In addition to interpreting, Craig has been an interpreter educator and mentor. He has taught Introduction to Interpreting and has served as a practicum supervisor at Northeastern University. Privately, Craig offers a variety of workshops and educational experiences to working interpreters which in: ASL-to-English Interpretation, Interpreting in Medical Situations with an emphasis on HIV/AIDS, and "Mentoring: The Art of Thinking Together" (with Carol Fay). | |
