Christopher S. Robinson specializes in interpreting for the visual and performing arts. Currently he works for Boston University as the full-time staff interpreter. In this capacity, he is the coordinator for the Conference Interpreter Mentorship Project.

He worked six years as a full-time staff interpreter for a Boston based disability services agency and three years as a part-time interpreter in a high school setting. He volunteers as a tactile/close-vision interpreter, interprets at local and national conferences, and freelances throughout New England in arts-based projects and institutions that draw diverse Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals. His perspective on mentoring and dialogue is greatly influenced by Colonomos and Vygotsky. He is a member of RID, the National Alliance of Black Interpreters and is one of the founding members of the Conference Interpreting Mentorship Project.
