| CI and CT, Catherine is a Disability Specialist at Disability Services at the University of Minnesota and co-author of Charting the Way: a Handbook for Postsecondary Educational Interpreters. A professional sign language interpreter for over 17 years, she specializes in interpreting for higher education, the performing arts, and traditionally under-served communities. Catharine co-coordinated the 1999 Postsecondary Interpreters Network (PIN) conference and has developed numerous workshops, inservices and retreats for local, regional and national conferences. She also co-coordinated the University of Minnesota's Interpreter Mentoring Project in 2001 and 2002. Her bachelor's degree is from Hamline University and she is nearing completion of her Master's degree from the University of Minnesota. | |
