| Certified by both RID and NAD, Anthony is an interpreter in private practice and an instructor of American Sign Language at Xavier University of Louisiana. He holds a masters degree in linguistics of American Sign Language from Gallaudet University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Deaf studies at the University of New Orleans. While serving as president of the National Alliance of Black Interpreters (NAOBI), Anthony continues to be involved in the New Orleans chapter of NAOBI, and local and national RID activities. He also served as African American Team Leader for the National Multicultural Interpreter Project. His research interests include collecting sociolinguistic data on the African American Deaf Community. | |
