The Master Mentor Curriculum presented here is the result of the collaborative energies and efforts of many people in the field of interpreting and education. I have had the privilege of working with experienced practitioners, novice interpreters and students, and with a multitude of wise and wonderful people in our field. I pulled together the input, thoughts and wisdom of people who I knew to be respected and experienced, and relied on their input to find and include the input of numerous others involved in mentoring. I want to acknowledge and thank so many people, including all those who have helped to shape my understanding of interpreting and mentoring, and especially my own mentors and teachers. My special thanks to Cathy Cogen for her far-sighted input and vision of mentoring, and her willingness to share it with me.

By the students who participated in this great experiment of the first year, and those who joined in the second and third years, and to all of their mentees, collaborators, and supporters in the own regions;

By the tremendous skills of Sarah Snow, who brought her expertise to the technical and online challenges of implementing this curriculum;

By the input of the RSA Grant regional directors, who supported the original goals of the grant sponsoring this curriculum and the implementation over the past 2 years;

By the support from ASLTA, where we were able to present our program and gather input;

By the excellent review, synthesis, and editing of Amanda Leslie Spinks;

And by all those who offered encouragement and support as I researched, designed and carried out the implementation of this work.

The curriculum represents an approach and philosophy of mentoring that has been built upon the insight of everyone involved; if important topics, people, and perspectives have been inadvertently omitted or missed, the fault is mine as the final designer.

It is my hope that participants in this current Roundtable discussion, and in future discussions, will continue to shape and enhance this curriculum.
